F-35 First Flight

The F-35 Lightning II Stealth Fighter flew its very first flight today out of Fort Worth, Texas. Originally planned for the late morning, delays due to fog kept the fighter grounded until the FAA cleared the beast in the afternoon. The flight lasted 35 minutes, and a few lucky people were fortunate to watch it on a webcast this afternoon.

  1. Is this a new model? Never seen this F-35 before. It has been a while since I last read about fighter jets. šŸ˜€

  2. Hi Alvin!

Yes, the very latest jet fighter produced by Lockheed Martin. I haven’t had an opportunity to see one up close yet.

I have however been able to see the F-22, and got a chance to fly the simulator. Very impressive!

I hope to get to see an F-35 up close on the production line.

    Happy New Year!
