I went to the store today to pick up two gallons of milk. Normally we purchase 2%, but since it the store was low, I purchased one 2% gallon and one whole milk gallon.
$4.69 for a gallon of Mayfield milk!
Wow! I remember back in the late 80’s/early 90’s, going to the store and getting a gallon for $2-3. In another 2-4 years, we will have broken the $5 a gallon for milk!
Milk is like gold in our household. We consume a gallon of milk almost each day. Kids love milk, and drink more milk, water, juice as they are only allowed soft drinks sparingly.
In another 10 years, what will people be saying when milk approaches the eight dollar mark? Will family’s give their children soft drinks and water?
